Mini Grants for Child Maltreatment Prevention Curricula
In partnership with the Colorado Department of Human Services Office of Early Childhood, Illuminate Colorado is awarding mini grants to support two curricula to prevent child maltreatment: Nurturing Healthy Sexual Development and Darkness to Light's Stewards of Children.
Authorized Facilitators / Certified Trainers in each curriculum are eligible to submit mini grant requests.
Organizations interested in receiving one of these trainings, may fill out this form to request to be matched to an authorized facilitator / certified trainer in the curricula of their choice.

Questions about the mini grant process?
A 3-hour workshop designed to give participants accurate information about children’s sexual development as well as help develop skills and comfort to promote healthy behaviors and respond to children’s questions. A comprehensive approach to preventing child sexual abuse ensures adults interacting with children possess the basic knowledge and skills to foster healthy sexual growth and development in children. Spanish translation is currently underway for this curricula.
A 2 to 3-hour video-based curricula using real people and real stories to show participants how to prevent child sexual abuse. It is scientifically proven to increase knowledge, improve attitudes and change child-protective behaviors. Available in English and Spanish, this program is for any responsible adult who cares about the welfare of children, particularly youth-serving organizations and personnel.
In response to HB-1064, the Colorado Department of Human Services Office of Early Childhood is partnering with Illuminate Colorado to award mini grants to support approved curricula to prevent child sexual abuse.
