Child Abuse Prevention Month is a time to acknowledge the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse and neglect, and to promote the social and emotional well-being of children and families.

Kick Off Child Abuse Prevention Month at the Colorado State Capitol -
April 4th, 2017 from 11am-12pm

Child advocates from across Colorado will joined together to kick off Child Abuse Prevention Month! We all wore blue to show our commitment to preventing child abuse in our state's capitol.

At the event, we celebrated Governor Hickenlooper's proclamation of April as Child Abuse Prevention Month, and featured speakers highlighted the importance of supporting families and preventing child maltreatment.

Pinwheels for Prevention

During the month of April, Prevent Child Abuse Colorado works with partners across the state on the Pinwheels for Prevention Campaign.  The Pinwheels campaign is focused on promoting the great childhoods that all children deserve and engaging individuals, businesses, and communities in joining together to build strong families and prevent child maltreatment.
